Rara Lake Trek

Situated in the northern part of Far western region of Nepal, at an altitude of 2990m (9,810 ft) above sea level. Rara lake is the largest and the most beautiful lake of Nepal with the total water surface  of 10.8 sq km.The lake is located inside of Nepal's smallest national park i.e. Rara National Park .While  on trek you will experience the unique flora and fauna with rare and vulnerable species consisting of 1074 species floras ,51 species of mammals and 214 species of birds of the National Park.

Rara lake trek is a new addition to our treks that offers you with breathtaking serene wildlife experiences filled with adventures. This trek covers various villages of Mugu and Jumla district. 

Since this region has not been travelled most often, it is in its own pristine condition without much influence of modern civilization. Experiencing the remote lifestyle of the people with very limited reach to modern facilities , you will learn about the beauty in the simplicity of life. 

You will trek past Sinja valley , which is listed as World Heritage sites by UNESCO in 2008 under cultural category. The trails mostly follows through Pine and Rhododendron forest . You will encounter the ‘Thakur’ society which is more dominant in this region that mostly indulge themselves in agriculture.

Please note that the required number of participants is at a minumum of 2 and a maximum of 12 participants. Nevertheless, it doesn't mean that you have to be a group of 2 to book the trip.

Day 1 - Arrive In Kathmandu
Day 2 - Flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj - 50 minutes flight 
Day 3 - Flight from Nepal gunj to Talcha Airport trek to Rara Lake  - 40 mins flight 4 hours trek
Day 4 - Sightseeing and excursion day 
Day 5 - Early trek from Rara to Talcha Airport , Flight from Talcha to Nepalgunj . Connecting Flight from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu - 3 hours trek / 40 mins flight / 50 minutes flight 
Day 6 - Departure back to home
